MP Steamboat Gathering

I have a gathering with friends along with my hubby and kids. There is no other place better than Moven Peak (MP) for steamboat cravers. There are varieties of food in the restaurant. We chose to have tom yam and curry soup beside plain soup. The taste was not bad. Since it was still in Chinese New Year season, the price charged per head was a bit high than usual. Anyway, it is the worth place for steamboat, especially for those great-eater.

9th Day of CNY - Praying Culture

After Valentine's dinner, I then proceeded to celebrate prayers festival of Nineth day of Chinese New Year culture with hubby at Bukit Tambun Seafood Restaurant in Klebang, Ipoh. The owner is my hubby's friend. It is known as "Bai Tian Gong ～拜天宫" in Cantonese. The ceremony started at 12am on 15 Feb, 2008.

Long table was laid with food and fruits for prayers. Hubby's friend was so generous to serve four roast pigs for serving God in prayers.

These were the heap of 'gold' and 'money' for the God. These were then burnt as one session of ceremony.

Hubby and I went home only at 2pm. My God! Very tired and sleepy. I still need to wake up at 7am the next day. Should I say, on that early morning too!

Dinner Turned Out To Be Disappointed

My Valentine's Day was like a friends and family gathering. Last night was just a usual dinner with hubby, kids and also two couples of friends. Aiyor....old couple already still need romance?? I really hope that I have! Anyway, it was better than no celebration and to stay at home! On the other hand, we all ended up with anger and dissatisfaction in everyone. Not because we were not happy with our spouse, but the bad service and rude waiters and waitresses in Brewsterlane Kitchen at Brewster Road in town.

Guess what! The above was the valentines set last night....with two glasses of fruit juice drinks. At first we thought it was cheap, just RM55 for a set of two persons. When the dish was served, O...O.....not even enough for me alone! Yet, the rude waitress told us that was enough!

Some of my friend's dish didn't even come after waiting for an hour. He was mad and cancelled the order. It was a chaos in the kitchen due to the crowd last night, because yesterday was a special day. The owner should have expected this and employed more temporary staff for that night.

The food actually is not bad. The environment is average. It is just they are not well organised and the staff are rude and impatient.

I feel pity whenever I see those mommies or daddies taking good care of their retarded child. My heart hurts and feel sorry for these babies arrival to the earth. What cause them to be like this? I guess the over-consuming chemical intake from daily food is one of the consequences.

There is another problem for newborn known as cerebral palsy syndromes. Parents have to be equipped themselves with details about cerebral palsy symptoms. This is just a knowledge for parents to keep track of the growth development of their children. It is a helpful website indeed.

After this Chinese New Year, it is high time for me to get some weight loss since I have been eating non-stop throughout the festive seasons. I really don't hope to see own flabby tummy shaking whenever I move around. It's disgusting! There is a kilogram increase on my weight within a week! Today is the seventh day of CNY, which is also recognised as "人日" (birthday to human)! Most of the Chinese may eat Yusheng , yee sang or yuu sahng (鱼生), either at home or in the restaurant. It is a Chinese-style raw fish salad, which usually consists of strips of raw fish (most commonly salmon), mixed with shredded vegetables and a variety of sauces and condiments, among other ingredients. Yusheng literally means "raw fish" but since "fish (鱼)" is commonly conflated with its homophone "abundance (余)", Yúshēng (鱼生) is interpreted as a homophone for Yúshēng (余升) meaning an increase in abundance. Therefore, yusheng is considered a symbol of abundance, prosperity and vigor.

Investing Silver Coins And Ingots

Chinese New Year represents the starting of year 2008 in Chinese tradition. Everyone has their own wish to achieve in this new coming year. I have no exceptance on this. I do wish that all my family members live in good health. I also hope that hubby would be successful in his business. I need to work hard, blog hard in order to earn more for a better living.

There is an alternative to improve our lifestyle. It is advisable to invest in gold or silver for its strong currency value. I am planning to purchase some silver coins and ingots this year. I am sure it will bring me a good fortune after few years.

Lunch With Kids On CNY

Not much programs for me during Chinese New Year days. I hung out with both my kids for lunch on the third day of CNY. I was wondering what to eat, but then slowly I drove my car to the crowded and happening area. I chose Ice Ice Baby again! The cafe was full of young people. How wonderful their life is to mingle around with friends and chit-chat anything about the world! My life is a bit different with them. I'm happy too because I have my two lovely kids by my side.

I shared Japanese Teriyaki Fish Fillet Baked Rice with my little boy. The portion was quite a lot.

The dish tasted good and there are two rooms for some celebration reservations like birthday party or gathering. I missed to collect the address and contact number again. Hopefully I'll visit again and try to fill in here.

Whenever I look at my mother's house kitchen, I will sure want to faint. There are so many pots and pans stuffed at one corner in the kitchen. My dad bought a wooden rack for her. The whole rack is now messed up with those kitchen utilities. All are not neatly arranged. My mum just places anything at anywhere which is still spacious.
