MP Steamboat Gathering

I have a gathering with friends along with my hubby and kids. There is no other place better than Moven Peak (MP) for steamboat cravers. There are varieties of food in the restaurant. We chose to have tom yam and curry soup beside plain soup. The taste was not bad. Since it was still in Chinese New Year season, the price charged per head was a bit high than usual. Anyway, it is the worth place for steamboat, especially for those great-eater.

Steamboat In Shooting Club

I dare not publish my criticism with the "LOUSY" in the title. I shall comment the steamboat in Shooting Club an under-rated one. Where is the club? Well, it is at Gopeng Road, a few miles down the road from Casuarina Hotel.

We ordered corn soup and it was tasteless. The soup doesn't seem nice too, right?

A plate of fried wanton and fish cakes as appertizer.

Not much varieties to eat here. I couldn't have my favourite meatballs as well because the club is serving halal food.

Luckily, we have some sauce to add the taste of the food. Anyway, the peanut chilli sauce is not that nice too. :-(

I will not go back to the club and have such steamboat again!

Again, Full Stomach!

I've just been to MovenPeak last Wed. This time, also on Wed, I went for steamboat with hubby and friends at its another compartment. There are a lot of varieties of food, even fruits and desserts. We chose two soup and I like the porridge as soup.

It looks plain though, it's sweet.....yummmmy...but, we people overboiled the soup, it was 'burnt'!! LOL

This restaurant is halal. Therefore, the ball ball that you see are either beef or chicken. Too much to eat, once settle on our seats and started eating, we couldn't even get up for a walk. Stomach was full and big ya....;)

This Herb Soup was tasty.....can imagine it's a popular demand. The restaurant charged us extra RM5 on this!

We spent over RM110 on the dinner steamboat. They charged per head, so if divided, approximately RM25 per person added tax. Well, do you think worth it? Yes, I do, IF you are a great-eater.

Sate Celup Dinner

This place is just nearby my mum's house, located at Kampar road, next to Honda Company. They are doing something like the Malacca sate celup style, but not exactly the same in terms of the taste. I tried the real Malacca sate celup, it was yummy, but not in this shop.

It is just small and simple shop. Not much business tonight. Just a table of the owner's relative. It used to be crowded when first started. Business drops maybe because it's expensive, RM0.80 per stick!

Here is the peanut soup / kuah that hubby and I ordered. They have chicken soup and tomyam as well. I thought of the taste in Malacca, so I tried this but was disappointed. Too watery without much peanuts and it was tasteless..... :(

Luckily they have this, satay kuah!

Varieties of sate sticks in the fridge.

We have taken a lot too. Nearly couldn't finished. Hubby sneaked to return some back to the fridge. Hopefully nobody saw him. Real pai seh..... don't waste mar..... :P

See, how greedy I was! Still want to try these preserved eggs. Just claimed to be full!! Huh??

Some more, a big plate of tumeric fried rice. I ordered this at the first place, thinking that I might not be full with just sate celup. But then, have to 'ta pao' and take it away for my dad at home!

Steamboat Craver

Shirley and I had promised each other for a steamboat since last two weeks. As we were so busy with our centre's work, we delay our plan till tonight. Shirley and my hubby are both steamboat cravers. For me, it's ok once a while but not every day!

Above shows the place that we went for "Eat All You Can" steamboat. It is called "Mamamia Steamboat ~ 人气火锅" and it is in Greenhill, next to Crazy Ice-Cream House. They charge only RM19.90 per pax. Quite reasonable too as there are a lot of varieties to choose. It suits those great eater well but for those with tummy of a kitten like me, sure 'rugi' la.

Left ~ Varieties of meatballs, sausages, ham, dumplings, fried stuff and vege...all halal;
Right ~ Seafood like crabs, shrimps, oysters, mussels ... etc.;
Bottom ~ Spicy lettuce of Korean style, known as "泡菜" and fruits.

Wow!! Can you see what we have on our table? Meat ~ chicken, beef, fish..., taufu, meatballs, green vege, seaweed, sushi some more....how could we finish all these??? Photo on the right is the soup that we ordered. Tomyan and ginseng soup.

If you would like to know about the taste, hmmm...so so only neh.. not tasty but only salty. Their chili sauce doesn't taste better. All in all, their food is within the average and bad though they have many customers. In service wise, they employ Malay workers who are helpful and polite. In that sense, they still have something to be praised for.
