Waraku Japanese Restaurant

Where is this place? Oops, I didn't get the address and contact from the restaurant this time. Waraku Japanese Restaurant is located in Ipoh Garden East, around the new shoplots area. That was my first visit to the restaurant. We chose to sit on the floor, to enjoy how Japanese dine. I noticed that there were so many wine racks in the restaurant. I dared not try the wine as I tasted 'sake' before and I couldn't take more than two sips!

Anyway, the waiter recommended us this special sake, Choya Umeshu. It is a type of plum wine and it tasted good. Most suitable for ladies, as it is not too sweet and not too sour. Just 50ml in the small cute little bottle cost us RM18.


Hubby always orders barbecue food whenever he visits Japanese restaurant. That night, we ordered barbecued asparagus, hackberry and chicken meat. We both felt that the food was too salty.

Kaisen Pili-Kala (Seafood Udon & Soba in Spicy Soup)

Hubby just couldn't resist any spicy food, and this was what he ordered. When I looked at it, I knew it would be like 'fire' to me! Well, the conclusion is, and the only word to describe all food here would be "SALTY" !! Hubby and I do not like the food here very much. As for me, I prefer going back to Japanese fast food style, which is the "Sushi King"!

Steamboat In Shooting Club

I dare not publish my criticism with the "LOUSY" in the title. I shall comment the steamboat in Shooting Club an under-rated one. Where is the club? Well, it is at Gopeng Road, a few miles down the road from Casuarina Hotel.

We ordered corn soup and it was tasteless. The soup doesn't seem nice too, right?

A plate of fried wanton and fish cakes as appertizer.

Not much varieties to eat here. I couldn't have my favourite meatballs as well because the club is serving halal food.

Luckily, we have some sauce to add the taste of the food. Anyway, the peanut chilli sauce is not that nice too. :-(

I will not go back to the club and have such steamboat again!

I am so satisfied with my current lifestyle. Maybe I am too satisfied till I don't have the move to improve myself. I understand that a meaningful life doesn't mean like this. What else can I do? I am too lack of confidence with myself as I think that I am not capable of anything great!

Dessert : "Baby Sundae"

Besides my Zi Wei's favourite glutinous rice ball in Ice Ice Baby, I somehow tried the other ice-cream dessert called "Baby Sundae". It is made up of 3 scoops of ice-cream with peanuts, cereals, grapes, corns and blueberry jam as fillings. It is cooling enough to be taken on a hot weather day. Anyway, you will then fell full after eating as those ice-creams are creamy enough to fill up your tummy!
