Seafood And Seaview At Jimbaran, Bali

Our journey continues with our first dinner on 24 Aug, Fri night. We set off to Jimbaran at around 5:45pm. By the time we reached, it was already over 6:15pm. The night started to darken earlier than M'sia even though the time of both countries are the same.

Scenes taken were not so cleared because the environment around was smoky due to the grilled food. Anyway, Jimbaran is a famous place for fresh grilled seafood and seaside view.

The food is too spicy and our children all couldn't take in any of these. Pity the little ones, they just took white rice with some crackers. I couldn't manage to finish my plate because I didn't feel tasty at all, and somemore the seafood was spicy.

I was shocked to see how the Indonesian grilled the seafood! No wonder Shoppingmum and I got sore throat after the dinner that night. I hate to eat this type of food.... :(

Seafood Taste At Kampung Koh

After our fun time at Teluk Batik last Sunday, we had seafood dinner at Hai Tien Ti Seafood Restaurant in Kampung Koh.

First came a bowl of Sweet and Sour "Yu Piao" ~ an internal organ in fish which helps it to float and sink in water...... wor....that what hubby told me.

Then, two cooked Oysters for hubby and Lovelymummy' hubby each. This always makes hubby run in and out of the toilet after eating!

Another type of seafood appetizer for the men......cooked Snails! yeeeee.... I don't like those stuff!

At last, dishes that suit my taste and to be eaten with rice.

Steam fish ~ "Dao Dei"

Fried Mantis Prawn with chillies

Salted Steam Crab

All in all, I don't feel anything good here. The taste is so so only, but I comment the taste of crabs the worst I've ever tried! I suggest to all of you who happen to be at Kampung Koh, do try out the seafood at other restaurant. I guess there are many nearby. O..o...if the owner reads about this, I'll sure get shot :p being the one who try to ruin their business....!

Who Love Seafood?

If you love to eat seafood, you shall come here for a try when in Penang. It is located at Gurney Drive, same row as Gurney Plaza.

Those fish, crabs and prawns ordered were so fresh, right to be cooked with a pull from the aquariums. Some of them are frozen to keep fresh.

Left ~ Expensive fish, Estuary Grouper costs RM9.80 per 100gm;
Right ~ Another expensive sea creature, Mable Goby costs RM13 per 100gm.

Left ~ A type of Eel, costs RM12 per 100gm;
Right ~ Weird type, Snow Crab, which costs RM19.80 per 100gm.

My friends and hubby were enjoying these, don't know what name are these shells. In Mandarin called, "刺螺". I felt geli when seeing them, but still dared to try one.

Above is another type of shells which they tasted. The meat was softer and bouncy.

Shark Fin Soup

Salted Egg Crabs

Mantis Prawns ~ very expensive, RM25 per prawn

I will not eat if I knew it was so expensive. What's so special about it? Taste like a normal prawn. Somemore its shell is hard to peel off.
